Welcome
I was born
in Czechoslovakia, and from childhood I developed a keen interest
in sport – specifically gymnastics – and became
a leading gymnast in Czechoslovakia.
In 1981 I immigrated to Australia. Six years
later I contracted Lyme disease – an infectious disease
marked by symptoms of fatigue, extreme muscular and joint
pain and swelling. During these six years I started experimenting
with yoga and different forms of exercise. I persisted with
yoga and my pain reduced dramatically. Yoga helped me to boost
concentration, health and emotional stability. As a result,
I became a fully qualified yoga teacher, Swiss ball instructor
and massage practitioner.
In January 2003 I opened Shelley Yoga and
Swiss Ball Centre, offering yoga and Swiss ball exercise classes
to suit varying levels of flexibility and fitness. I believe
Swiss ball exercises and yoga combined presents a perfect
combination of strength and flexibility.
Whether you are an elite athlete, regular
exerciser or a beginner, practicing yoga and Swiss ball training
can provide you with fantastic result – a stress free,
stronger, healthier and injury free body.
